Drama contains 252 plays by 42 playwrights, together with detailed,
fielded information on related productions, theaters, production
companies, and more.
Some 50% of these plays have never been published before. The database also includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays. The plays themselves have been selected using leading bibliographies and with the editorial advice of Josephine D. Lee, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; Esther S. Kim, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; James S. Moy, University of New Mexico; and Karen Shimakawa, University of California, Davis. |
We have recently upgraded the PhiloLogic
software used by Asian American
Drama, enhancing
performance and giving the collection a fresh new look. We have improved the
search engine for better performance and introduced new toolbar navigation
for easier browsing, but all other functionality of the collection remains
the same. See the
upgraded version of the database. This version of the collection will remain active until March 1, 2009. After that time, any bookmarks or links you have into any page of the database will automatically redirect to the correct page in this upgrade, but you will need to note the new location and update your bookmarks accordingly.
